Weekly Contests
Our Weekly Contests are designed to include participation from all registered users who upload art to VisualContest. Any registered member that uploads a piece of artwork is automatically entered into the Weekly Contest. One Weekly Contest takes place from 9:00PM EST on one Sunday to 8:59PM EST Sunday on the following Sunday. (Any artwork submitted after 8:59PM EST on the second Sunday will be automatically submitted into the next week's contest). All artwork that a registered user submits during this time period has a chance to win the Weekly Contest. All submitted artwork will be posted on the home page gallery where registered users are allowed to vote for 5 different pieces of artwork, and visitors are limited to only 3 votes. Voting is through a click-and-vote system, so you can simply click on a piece of artwork of your liking to vote for it. At the end of the week, the top 5 pieces with the highest number of votes will be moved on to our judging panel and the panel will choose 3 pieces as winners. These 3 pieces will then be awarded a Weekly Winner Trophy which will be displayed on the artists' profile pages. All of the weekly winners will automatically be enrolled into the Monthly Contest.

Monthly Contests
The Monthly Contest will include all of the Weekly Contest winning artwork in one month, but will result with only two final victors. After one month passes, the amount of artwork that has won in that month will be entered into the Monthly Contest. If a Weekly Contest has started at the end of a month but ends in the beginning of the next month, the winners of that week will be included in the Monthly Contest of the month in which it ends, not starts. All of the winning Weekly Contest artwork that moves on to the Monthly Contest will be judged by our judging panel. The panel will decide on two pieces to be the winners for the Monthly Contest. Both winners will receive a Monthly Winner Trophy in their Trophy Case. A total of 24 pieces of art (2 per month) will move on to the Yearly Contest.

Yearly Contests
The Yearly Contest will include all of the 24 Monthly Contest winning artwork, but will result in only one final victor. After one year passes, the 2 pieces of artwork that have won in each month will be entered into the Yearly Contest. The Yearly Contest battle will follow the same voting system as the Monthly Contest; no voting will take place. Our panel will judge the 24 pieces and decide on 1 piece of artwork to be the final Yearly Winner. The winner will receive a Yearly Trophy.

Seasonal Champion
Unlike weekly, monthly, and yearly contests, seasonal contests are optional. An artist must choose to submit his/her work into a seasonal contest.

• Seasonal Contests will be theme based, bearing a new theme every season. Artists must submit artwork relevant to the theme, and the panel will eliminate any irrelevant pieces.
• There will be a two month submission period for all pieces that fit in with the required theme. Artists are only allowed to submit two pieces of artwork per seasonal contest. If more than two pieces are submitted, all of the entered artwork for that particular artist will be disqualified.
• Following the submission period, there will be a 3 week voting period (Ex: August 2nd, 2009 - August 22nd, 2009). This will also be a click-and-vote system. Registered users are allowed 5 votes, while visitors are allowed 3.
• The top 10 pieces with the highest number of votes will be presented to our panel of judges, whom will choose a 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place winner over a one week period.
• Prizes are as follows:

- 1st Place - $50.00 USD - Automatically becomes a featured artist with prime exposure on our site & seasonal champion trophy

- 2nd Place - $35.00 USD - Automatically becomes a featured artist with prime exposure on our site.

- 3rd Place - $25.00 USD - Automatically becomes a featured artist with prime exposure on our site.

- All artists that have submitted artwork into a seasonal contest will receive one credit for a potential seasonal contest award. See our trophies and awards page for more details.
