All members of the VisualContest are expected to be familiar with these rules of Privacy and they will be enforced evenly and without bias in every situation, which is brought to the attention of the administration regardless of the membership status of the user in question.

Information Collection and Use
VisualContest collects personal information about you when registering on VisualContest. When you register, VisualContest requests you sign a contract agreement and fill out a form giving standard information, such as name, email address, etc. Once you register with VisualContest and sign in, you are no longer anonymous to VisualContest.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
VisualContest does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or companies. VisualContest may divulge aggregate information about users but will not share personally identifiable information with any third party without your express consent. For example, VisualContest may disclose how frequently the average VisualContest user visits VisualContest, or which sort of art is most popular. Please be aware, however, that VisualContest will release specific personal information about you if required to do so in order to comply with any valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order, or if VisualContest believes it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.

Confidentiality and Security
VisualContest limits access to personal information about you to only VisualContest employees in order to do their jobs.

Quality and Placement
It is our policy to welcome artists of all levels, including students, amateurs, and professionals and to that end we do not attach any minimum standards of quality to deviations submitted by our membership; all manner of artworks are welcome providing they meet with our privacy and copyright policies. Although we do not impose quality standards of artwork we do ask that you practice self-moderation in what you choose to submit and try to only submit your best works.

Our gallery members, during the course of their routine duties, may elect to remove one or more of your artworks; we ask that you accept this decision gracefully and with a mature attitude. If you desire a full explanation for this action, or if you feel the administrative action performed was an error, you should submit an inquiry to the official VisualContest Helpdesk. You should include a link to the work. Please do not bring these issues into the Forums, user pages, or other areas on our site.

Respect Others
When it comes to posting artwork, comment reviews, remember that your username/name will be publicly displayed. This being said, don’t write anything that is inappropriate or offensive to others.

At the same time, VisualContest only welcomes original artworks. We must insist that the artwork which you submit be your own original artworks.

If you have reason to believe that an artist submission violates this policy, you should email our staff at info@visualcontest.com and provide us with a direct link.

Model release forms & Underage models
Our administrative member reserves the right to demand a Model Release form to be provided for any photography (nude or otherwise) located within your profile. In the event that you receive such a request an appropriate link will be included in the notification you received. Failure to properly respond to a Model Release form demand within seven (7) days will result in the automatic removal of the associated photograph.

We cannot and will not allow any nude works featuring individuals under the age of 18, nor may the works depict these individuals in a “sexual manner” such as posing in lingerie or displaying a sexually suggestive or provocative pose.

For your own protection, it is highly recommended that you have any model who poses for you sign a release form giving you the explicit permission to publish, share, distribute, and otherwise display the associated images. It is highly recommended that you provide this form immediately after submitting your photograph, especially if your subject is depicted nude. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at info@visualcontest.com.

Preferences
If you opt-in, we will send you a copy of our newsletters by email. We may also use your email to keep you updated with the status of your orders, and that sort of thing.

From time to time, but not too often. VisualContest reserves the right to send you certain communications relating to VisualContest, such as service announcements and administrative messages, which are considered part of VisualContest membership, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
By using VisualContest, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in this policy and to the Terms of Service. VisualContest may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy was updated on Sunday, June 7, 2009.
